Garlic

What is it?

Garlic is related to the onion, the shallot and other plants in the genus Allium.

Common Uses

Reduces blood clotting, fights infections, acts to boost immunity, combats fungal infections.

Dosage

Take a 400 to 600 mg garlic supplement each day.

Consult your doctor if you are taking drugs to prevent blood clots (anticoagulants or aspirin) or to reduce high blood pressure (antihypertensives). Garlic may intensify the effects of these drugs.
