Ginkgo Biloba
What is it?
A herb extracted from the fan-shaped leaves of the ancient gingko biloba tree.
Common Uses
May slow down the progression of Alzheimer's symptoms: sharpens concentration and memory, particularly in elderly people. Lessens depression and anxiety in some elderly people. Alleviates coldness in the extremities (Raynaud's disease) and painful leg cramps (intermittent claudiation). Relieves headaches, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and dizziness. May restore erections in men with impotence.
Dosage
For a general memory booster/For poor circulation: Take 40mg of Gingko Biloba extract three times a day.
Caution
Do not use any form of unprocessed gingko leaves, including teas; they contain potent chemicals that can trigger allergic reactions. Select standardised extracts (GBE) in which the allergens have been removed during processing.
