Gotu Kola

What is it?

A red flowered plant that thrives in hot, swampy areas.

What does it do?

Components of the herb include chemicals called triterpenes which appear to enhance the formation of collagen in bones, cartilage and connective tissue.

Common Uses

Treats burns and wounds. Helps build connective tissue. Strengthens veins. Improves memory.

Dosage

Take 200mg of the standardised extract three times a day.

Caution

Pregnant women should not take gotu kola.
